We R Who We R: Song Review

Well, what more can be said about an already ridiculed girl. She's doesn't have sex appeal like Katy Perry, and is too common to be Lady Gaga, so she sort of fall in between the cracks. I am talking about none other then that annoying fad, the yang to Justin Biebers yin, Ke$ha. After almost a year since her first "album"(I use that term loosely) and her first Number One single, Tik Tok. Now, it seems that before the year is out, in a carbon copy of Lady Gaga, she releases an EP that goes along with the same themes as her album(Fame/Fame Monster; Animal/Cannibal).
So before I forget, lets take a look(or listen I suppose) to her latest single, We R Who We R. Well to put it simply, this is certainly a step up from the last 3 singles. It seems that this "deserves"(again, loosely used), to get to Number One. It's not nearly as stupid as Blah, Blah Blah or Your Love is my Drug, and actually reminds me of Tik Tok. Despite her rhyming 'us' with 'us', it seems to be the prequel to Tik Tok, talking about taking the night for herself, dancing like they're young, because they are superstars and that's who they r. Still think she's original? The beat is good though, and it certainly would be good to dance to in the club(or house party/room alone). Once again, she does use Auto Tune, but it's not as bad as some of her earlier singles, though she continues to do that rap/speak thing that she's well-known for. Keep this up, and it'll become her trademark, just like Britney Spears and that annoying...thing she does.
In conclusion, with all the songs on the radio, it seemed Katy Perry was going to reign supreme on this front. There are few Lady Gaga songs being played, and her main competition is stuff like Usher, Flo Rida and Justin Bieber. So while this song is probably going to be overplayed(like everything on the radio isn't), at least it's a break from overplayed Perry.
My rating: 3/5
