Well, last night I went to see Paul McCartney at the Air Canada Center. I had floor seats, row 33 seat 17. And I have to admit this was an AMAZING concert! I've seen my fair share of concerts over the last year, but this one took the cake. For starters, I could actually see the man who has sung so many of my favourite songs. And he really was larger then life. I was amazed by his stage presence, and the way people continued to applaud him all the way through the show, even when he was about 2 hours in, he still got the same response that he got at the beginning. The songs were also very good, as I knew most of them, unlike Coldplay, U2 or Them Crooked Vultures. Some highlights for me were "All My Loving, Dance Tonight, Something, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Let It Be, and Yesterday" Exceptions to this was when he performed an instrumental "Foxey Lady", an explosive "Live and Let Die" and, much to my surprise, a stage version of "Mull of Kintyre" complete with a full Pipe Band! This was totally unexpected, and was something I didn't expect to hear. The only songs that I was disappointed not to here were "Maybe I'm Amazed and And I Love Her", which is strange for the latter, because according to the set list, he was suppose to do it, but he sometimes swiched it up with "Two of Us". A fair swap, but one i would've preferred not to have happened. So to conclude, Paul McCartney was something that was worth seeing, and if you are a Beatles fan, you know you should see this man if you can. This will be the only time I'll ever see him and may I say that it was well worth it.
